At 1:00 p.m. today I heard and saw a Sandhill Crane making lazy circles in
the sky over the Scugog River just north of Lindsay, about the level of the
new jail on highway #36. I did not see it land. It would have been visible
from either Thunder Bridge Road (east end) or Lagoon Rd (west end). Lindsay
is west of Peterborough on highway #7, at the junctions of highways 7, 35
and 36.
Bob Hartley.
