On Saturday, April 9 at approx. 2:00, an immature golden eagle was flying high, north to south along the Georgian Bay shoreline of the Bruce Peninsula, at the Stormhaven camping area south of Cyprus Lake P. Park.

On Sunday, April 10, at least one male Brewer's blackbird was singing from a fence post along Hwy. 6 north of Wiarton, also on the Bruce Peninsula.

Directions: Travel north on Hwy 6 to the Bruce Peninsula. Brewer's blackbirds: Approx. 23 km north of Wiarton, along Hwy 6, there is a long stretch of road with open pastures on both sides and numerous fenceposts (just south of the windmill). Check these fenceposts for the resident Brewer's blackbirds. Golden Eagle: Continuing north on Hwy 6, access the Bruce trail via Cyprus Lake P. Park. Stormhaven is on the Bruce Trail south of the park (a demanding half hour hike along the shoreline). Raptors were moving all along the Georgian Bay shoreline on saturday.
