I am new member..so this my first report

Observed 6 male 4 female hooded mergansers on St. Clair river about 1 km north
of villiage of Port Lambton. Being a life long resident ....this is very
unusual.....although these birds are not unheard of.....on the river.

Males were displaying and fighting amongst each other, while females were
ducking heads underwater looking for minnows. Fascinating to watch. Birds were
very close to shore.....with 10 meters.

Am observing as i send this.

Directions: Port lambton is on St Clair Parkway 35 km due south of Sarnia or
follow signs 15 km NE of Wallaceburg
