As of yesterday, May 10, one pair of Red-necked Grebes in Bronte Harbour has been nesting. Prior to that the tires that had been placed for them were unsuitable. As soon as the tires were replaced with more suitable tires nesting began on one of them. The western tire may ride too high in the water...time will tell. The two tires are in place in the same area as in other years.

Directions: Exit the QEW at Bronte Rd. and go to the lake. The nest is in the northeast corner of the Outer Harbour Marina.
