On Friday afternoon (May 13) around two or three p.m.
I found a Palm Pilot at the Hillman Marsh parking lot,
right where the school buses park. I put it in my
brother's glove box for safekeeping and intended to
post it as soon as we got home, but somehow managed to
forget all about it until last night. (If you knew me,
you'd understand.) Anyway, my deepest apologies for
the delay in posting this. Hopefully we can get this
returned to you ASAP. Please contact me by telephone
at (519) 944-3495 rather than email, as you will get a
quicker response that way. Be prepared to answer a
question or two to confirm you are the owner of the
unit.

sincerely, Randy Horvath, Windsor

We have not heard of anyone reporting yesterday's LARK SPARROW from
Northwest Beach Picnic area. Neither have we heard whether the male
Prothonotary Warbler has been refound from late yesterday afternoon located
along the edge of Sanctuary Pond.

Furthermore, no one has reported anything from Hillman Marsh.

At the tip today it was again quiet, but the Lesser Black-backed Gull was
still present. Little "reverse migration" was noted, except for a
Meadowlark sp. seen flying out and back.

Further inland from Loop Woods through to the Centre, along the road
especially, there were a lot of birds noted...suggesting a good influx of
migrants last night, owing to the lighter winds and we even have a light
south wind.

Species seen along the road included Mourning, Blackpoll, Pine, Mourning,
Hooded, Bay-breasted and about 18 other species of warbler. Also seen were
a pair of White-eyed Vireo among many other species.

On the road near White Pine Picnic area a Worm-eating Warbler was seen.

Tilden's Woods had Hooded Warbler and Yellow-breasted Chat, and there was a
report of a Kentucky Warbler near the boardwalk at the north end of the
trail.
The Eastern Bluebird that seemed to be "stalking" a male Indigo Bunting
yesterday, was again spotted in Tilden's Woods as well. White-eyed Vireo
was seen near the group campground.

The Park Wardens have asked us to mention in general to birders and other
Park users, that they please park responsibly at all times, for safety
sake, even if there is a Prothonotary or Summer Tanager along the road,
just far enough from a picnic area that you might be tempted to just pull
over.
