Jim's Pond has extensive mudflats appearing now. This evening there were the
following:

Shorebirds
7 Semipalmated Plovers
3 Short-billed Dowitchers
1 Greater Yellowlegs
2 Lesser Yellowlegs
1 White-rumped Sandpiper
1 Least Sandpiper
200 Dunlin

Waterfowl
2 Northern Shoveler drakes, Green-winged and Blue-winged Teal and Gadwalls

In the adjacent Oshawa Second Marsh highlights
11 Black Terns
1 Sedge Wren
1 Whimbrel (flyover)
1 Pileated Woodpecker(flyover)

 Directions: Exit from the 401 at the Harmony Rd. Exit (419) in Oshawa. Go
south on Farewell St. to Colonel Sam Drive. Go east on Colonel Sam Drive to
the parking lot at the GM Headquarters. Park in the west parking lot close
to the marsh. The east platform is located here.

For Jim's Pond park on the east side of the GM Headquarters and walk south
along the gravel trail. Jim's pond is approx. 400m south of the Building.
