On the morning of Sunday, June 5, 2005 a small group of birders were
treated to a variety of birds at the Amherstview sewage lagoons including
northern pintail, northern shoveler, blue-winged teal, american widgeon,
mallard, spotted sandpiper, semipalmated plover, and killdeer. The
eurasian widgeons which had been reported late last week were not present.

To go to the Amherstview sewage lagoons, follow Taylor-Kidd Blvd. west out
of Kingston (Taylor-Kidd Blvd runs parallel to the 401 from Kingston to
Millhaven, ON). Take the last road that branches off Taylor-Kidd to the
left just before you come to the bridge that crosses the CN rail tracks.
