I would like to encourage Ontario birders to watch for colour-leg banded Great Egrets at the Big Creek Mudflats. More than 100 Great Egrets were colour-banded with red plastic bands at Nottawasaga Island (near Collingwood) this summer. The bands have various letters and numbers, in white, on them. Please notify me if you see any such banded egrets.
