Bob Pettit, volunteer hawk-counter at Holiday Beach today, Friday 9-23-05, asked me to report this sighting: Today,@ appprox. 10:30 am, DST, an anhinga was seen flying around the marsh area of Holiday Beach Conservation Area. It was witnessed by at least 6 birders who were on the tower with Bob. After conferring by cell-phone with Jeff Schultz, counter at Lake Erie Metro Park in Michigan, it was surmised that this bird was most likely the same bird seen at LEMP this past Sunday by most observers there. More details will be provided on today's birdhawk report from HBMO. Mike Fitzpatrick, Mt Clemens MI
