Strong northwest winds bought many observers to Cranberry today-Sep.29--in
anticipation of a large raptor flight--they fooled us, perhaps staying low
to the east. Indeed, those we did see were struggling against the wind.

Jean Iron ID'd a Cackling Goose among several Canadas that flew past toward
the lakefront..
Many Tree Swallows were noted from the platform, along with a Wilson's
Snipe, 5 Great Egrets, Marsh Wren, White-crowned Sparrow, etc.

The raptor migrants-- 15 Turkey Vultures, 9 Sharp-shinneds, 1 Cooper's, 1
late Broad-winged, 2 Red-taileed, 3 Kestrels and 1 UB.

Cranbery Raptor Watch is at the end of a roadside parking area on Hall's Rd.
in southwest Whitby.
