Hi all:

This is my first posting to the site. I keep track and watch all of the great birds you have here usually from home in Nova Scotia. I'm currently visiting the Oakville/Bronte area and I must say that I am impressed with all of the buffer zones and trails in the area. My hat off to the government officials and Shell for a job well done in that area.

I don't know if this is overly rare for this time of year in the area, but today I had a pair of scolding Carolina Wrens at the Shell Park trail. These birds were on the section of the trail to the right of the Shell Park Snack bar. I saw them this morning, but could not relocate them this afternoon.

On the waterfront, today, there was one bufflehead, two yesterday, along with 12 gadwalls, three mute swans, and two red-necked grebes. Again these might be normal for the area, I'm not sure.

Thirty American Robins, I think is noteable in light of the weather. Other birds seen are probably not worth mentioning and I suspect are normal for this area during this time of year.

Sincerely,
