Weather: Cold;Windy;cold;sunny;cold Raptor Observations: 6 of the 11 eagles(3 bald and 3 golden)all arrived in a 10" span @10:30-10:40, all low and intent on the western shore of the marsh. Almost all raptors seen today were at level 1, or below, which made for great viewing. Non-raptor Observations: Very few passerines seen or heard. Best observation was a flock of 51 sandhill cranes lifting up from the southwestern side of the marsh @9:45, milling about whilst bugling back and forth to one another, then heading to the lakeshore, never to be seen or heard again today. Other birds of note seen were:2 hooded merganser,1 common snipe,1 great blue heron,2 pied-billed grebe, and 1 brown creeper. Predictions: These are the last days of Nov, and the last days of the count-season.Birds are going to move regardless of winds, so come on out, and help spot for the counters--"misery loves company"! ======================================================================== Report submitted by Michael Fitzpatrick ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) Holiday Beach Migration Observatory information may be found at: http://hbmo.org/
