Following up on the Burrell's posting, I was just in time to see a flock of about 30 cranes circle the reservoir and then head off to the WSW at 9:14 this morning. They were followed a minute later, with much fanfare, by a larger flock. I didn't count them at the time, but did take some photos, which do not show either flock in its entirety, but captured at least 70 birds. I would guess there were about 80 in total. An awesome sight and sound!
If you want to look for them, I would suggest the Grand Bend area, or perhaps Chicago! Virgil Martin Waterloo
