Today John Ralston and I were birding in the Sault Ste. Marie area and around
the St. Mary's River. There was a adult Great Black-Backed Gull at the west end
of the Sault Ste. Marie Canal at 2:30pm. The bird was seen standing on the
booms at the west end of the canal. We also had a Northern Shrike in the area.
