Subject: [Ontbirds]Boreal Chickadees and Pine Grosbeaks in Muskoka

Around noon today we saw one Boreal Chickadee and heard a second one calling
just a few trees away but couldn't see it. They were with a mixed flock of
Red-breasted Nuthatch and Black-capped Chickadees along the Trans Canada
Trail east of Henry marsh in Bracebridge. (same area as my earlier Pine
Grosbeak report) We also found a small flock of 10 Pine Grosbeaks but
didn't find the White-winged Crossbills that Bob Healey reported. Also saw
a few Pine Siskins. See the Muskoka Bird Board (url below) for more
details/updates.

Directions:
Bracebridge is about 2 hrs. drive north of Toronto. From Hwy. 11
northbound, take first exit to Bracebridge and follow Hwy. 118 West until
you come to the first set of traffic lights. Turn left onto Beaumont Dr.
and continue to Henry Rd. There is a small parking area by the trailhead at
the end of Henry Rd. Walk to the "T" in the trail, and turn left (east) -
the Boreal Chickadees and Pine Grosbeaks were within 15 minute walk from the
car. (note: there is a snowmobile trail to your left before you reach the
"T", and boots are required to walk the trail since it is slushy snow right
now)
