Hi Everyone
The Red-headed Woodpeckers at Constance Bay appear to be settling in for the winter. Yesterday afternoon, I saw 4 individuals, 1 adult and 3 immature in the old burn site. There was lots of woodpecker activity including 2 Downy, 2 Hairy and 2 Pileated Woodpeckers. Along the Ottawa River 2 adult Bald Eagles were observed scavenging along the shoreline. Winter finches are still on the move. I had a few small flocks of Common Redpoll at Constance Bay and a flock of 6 Pine Grosbeaks in Carp. There was a flock of 70+ Bohemian Waxwing along Dunrobin Road at Woodlawn and a flock of 7 along March Road at Shirley's Brook. The Carolina Wren is still present in the ravine and coming to my feeder.
