Richard Pope e-mailed us reporting, "I saw your Pacific Loon this morning around 9 am for 20 minutes. It was quite a bit east of the mouth of the creek and fairly far out in the waves. But unmistakable. A clean-looking bird, especially the vertical neckline...". He went back a little later with other birders, but didn't see it. Loons have a habit of disappearing and then appearing again.
