Directions: Take highway 401 to Westney Rd in Ajax. Go south to Bayly Rd (which becomes Victoria); turn left at Bayly and go east (about 2 km) to Halls Rd, a dirt road that runs south to the lake. Turn right onto Halls Rd.
4 pm Thursday. A barred owl was on the east side of Halls Rd, just
north of the north walkway to the Cranberry Marsh. Excellent views
could be had from the car,, without getting out and disturbing the bird.
