Birders,

I have just read Sarah Rupert's post reporting that the Ivory Gull has not been seen yet today. I am sure everyone is looking at its previously posted favorite haunts and then some, but I would like to add another suggestion.

Look further up and beyond the Wheatley Harbor beach - that is, going toward the northeast, I think. There appear to be mostly residences north of Wheatley Harbor and this may mean difficulty gaining access to the beach, but ... There is also a point of some kind that appears to be accessible from Detroit Line Rd.

The bird could be moving in this direction.

Good luck,
Cathy Carroll
