Several people reported seeing a Sora and a Moorhen, among several duck species, from the north platform off Hall's Rd. on the morning of Apr.21. The Wild Turkeys have been attracting much attention. Jim Fairchild and Jim Nixon heard a Blue-headed Vireo in Thickson's Wood's, then saw a Nashville Warbler, Purple Finch, Chipping Sparrow, Brown Thrasher amongst very small numbers of the "regulars".
Hall's Rd. is accessed from Victoria St., 1 block east of Lakeridge Rd. in southwest Whitby. For Thickson's, exit the 401 onto Thickson Rd., south toward the lakefront, turning east to park on the road that paralllels the north edge of the pine woods. Doug Lockrey, Whitby
