I saw and photographed a great horned owl on victoria island today at 1
pm. The owl flew just south of the Naval club. I saw it later on a
grey stone building on the west side of the Portage bridge. It is
truly spectacular to see this large bird in flight.
Driving (or walking) directions.
From downtown Ottawa, Parliament buildings, drive west on Wellington.
Turn right onto the Portage bridge to go to Gatineau. There is a road
that turns right onto Victoria island. I am unsure about the parking
situation.
