Once again, bird activity at the Park appears mostly unchanged from
yesterday or the day before. Early morning reports from the Tip have been
disappointing, aside from a repeat visit from the BLACK-BILLED MAGPIE. The
bird was also seen flying over the Visitor Centre train loop, much to the
excitement of those present. Yesterday evening, it was reported from
further north in the Park (Sanctuary?), along the west beach. Also seen at
the Tip and vicinity this morning was a Lesser Black-backed Gull,
Red-headed Woodpecker, and some of our first Canada Warblers of the season.

Bird activity at Tilden's Woods was good again. Many of the same birds were
present in exactly the same locations as the day before. As an example, one
male American Redstart has been seen for at least 4 days in the same tree
along Shuster Trail (leading toward Tilden's Woods). In total,
approximately 16 species of warbler have been present there the past few
days. A few more Black-throated Blue Warblers, Rose-breasted Grosbeaks,
Scarlet Tanagers and thrush (Veery, Swainson's) species were evident
compared to yesterday. At least one of the two Eastern Screech Owls was
still visible sunning itself there too.

Other noteworthy birds reported in the Birds Sightings Book at the Visitor
Centre this morning include:

LAUGHING GULL -- 1 adult seen flying south past Sanctuary
Canada Warbler -- 2 @ Lop Woods
Cape May Warbler -- DeLaurier and Blue Heron
White-eyed Vireo -- DeLaurier
Sedge Wren -- Blue Heron
Louisiana Waterthrush -- Blue Heron
Black Tern -- Marsh Boardwalk
Blue-winged Warbler -- Woodland Nature Trail
Hooded Warbler -- Tilden's Woods
Orange-crowned Warbler -- Tilden's Woods

Also reported yesterday after our last report were:

Willet -- 3 @ Wheatley Harbour
Clay-colored Sparrow - DeLaurier parking lot
Philadelphia Vireo -- Blue Heron
White-eyed Vireo -- Blue heron
