Greetings Bird Studies Canada will be holding an Marsh Monitoring Program (MMP) in-field training session next Tuesday evening at Bear Creek National Wildlife Area. The goal is to train already registered volunteers and to introduce people to the MMP. Ideally we hope to increase survey coverage within the St. Clair river watershed.

Kathy Jones Bird Studies Canada Wetland Birders Needed Bird Studies Canada (BSC), the St. Clair River Binational Public Advisory Council, and Environment Canada are on the lookout for interested citizens to be trained as volunteer bird monitors for wetland areas in the St. Clair River region of Ontario. Interested parties can attend an in-field training session on Tuesday May 23rd from 3:00 pm until dusk at Bear Creek National Wildlife Area, just south of Wallaceburg, Ontario. Session attendees are asked to meet in the parking lot of Oaks Inn 80 McNaughton Ave, Wallaceburg, at 3:00 pm. Everyone will then proceed to Bear Creek NWA from there.
