Despite searching from approximately 6:30-8:30 this evening, I was unable to find the Chestnut-collared Longspur. However, Rob Read, Gord Payne and I did find two Lapland Longspurs in the field to the west of the Markham Bypass (opposite side of the Bypass from Reesor Pond). They were feeding amongst the overgrown corn stubble and one bird allowed for some very close views. Both were female type birds.
