I received a call from Judith king this morning at approx. 9:00am about a
Snowy Egret on Mirimichi Bay. It is now noon and I have just been out and
the bird is still there. The black legs and yellow feet of the Snowy Egret
are easily seen as it wades feeds in the shallow water. The feathery plumes
on the back of the head are quite evident as well. While looking at the bird
through my scope a Great Egret wandered into view and I was able to compare
the size difference and the differnce in colour of the bill. The bird is
wading in the shallow waters at the north end of the bay in front of the
cottages.
