Birders
It was pointed out that my post this afternoon may be misleading. When I
suggested that the bird can be photographed and taped from the road I
was referring recording the bird's presence through film, audio and/or
video tape.
The use of tape playback to distract a breeding bird on territory
especially an endangered bird is not an acceptable practise and is not
endorsed by Ontbirds or OFO. For more information take a look at the
third bullet in the OFO Code of Ethics at
http://www.ofo.ca/whoweare.htm#ethics . Please keep disturbance to a
minimum.

Based on Jean' Iron's photo I would like to note that I spotted a Henslow's
at this location on June 17. I had a good look at it sitting on a fence
post and my initial ID was a Henslow's but somehow I convinced myself that
it was not. Looking at Jean's picture and my notes I now conclude what I
saw was a Henslow's sparrow.
Thanks Jean
