Winds were light and from the west for the most part. Raptor Observations: Raptor migration overall was but a trickle with a short pulse of activity in the mid afternoon. A non-migrant CooperÂ’s Hawk was seen carrying a Blue Jay over the count area. Non-raptor Observations: >From about the mid-morning through to the end of the day, dozens of Ruby-throated Hummingbirds were noted, the busiest movement in the waning hours of the count.
