There were times, particularly in the afternoon, when the skies brightened somewhat, but overcast conditions persisted throughout the day. Winds were light to moderate out of the northeast. Raptor Observations: Migration was light to moderate but steady during the morning hours and dominated at that time by Sharpies and Kestrels. As the afternoon continued and the conditions brightened a bit, especially to the north and east, kettles of Broad-wings began to develop and continued to come through until late in the day. In fact, some of the biggest groups were recorded in the waning hours of the day after 5 oclock. Kestrels also continued to move strongly into the early evening.
