Weather: The day started with calm winds and a temp of about 8C...eventually winds were light W and SW and temp to about 13C. Solid cloud for the day. Raptor Observations: It was a day for Sharpies!! with another 915 today (interestingly we had 917 yesterday) Total of 1004 birds for the day. Another nice count of Harriers with 33. Hard to believe there were only 17 TV's today after the almost 2100 from yesterday. Our 1-year record for Kestrels continues to increase ...now at 5027. Non-raptor Observations: Still lots of passerines moving through...especially large flocks of blackbirds....tundra swans and many waterfowl and loons have also been flying past the hawkwatch in the last few days. Predictions: Supposed to be rain for the day with SE and S winds. Not expecting much of a flight. ======================================================================== Report submitted by Dave Brown ([EMAIL PROTECTED]) Hawk Cliff Hawkwatch information may be found at: http://www.ezlink.on.ca/~thebrowns/HawkCliff/index.htm Site Description: Hawk Cliff Hawkwatch: Oldest Hawkwatch in Ontario - since 1931 - located just east of Port Stanley on the cliff overlooking Lake Erie Directions to site: >From east 401, take the Highbury south cut off at London, follow Highbury (Hwy 30) south to St. Thomas.
