There were 9 basic[type] plumaged Red-throated Loons in the west end of Pittock Lake this morning [Nov 13]. This species is not annual in Oxford County and most records are of ones and twos, so this record is quite noteworthy. There were also 5 Cackling Geese seen in same area, on Nov 12, among many hundred Canada Geese. The entrance to Pittock Lake PP is at the north end of Woodstock, 1km east of Hwy 59. James Holdsworth.
