Winds were for the most part light and varying from west to north. Raptor Observations: A steady movement was recorded throughout the day, although with the light winds the flight was spread over a very broad front, making for diligent scanning in the mostly blue skies. Highlighting the day was the late day push of Golden Eagles, several of these spectacularly lit up in the late afternoon sunlight. Bald Eagles were particularly evident as well today, in fact both species were in view at once on more than one occasion. Also two Rough-legs were noted, one of each morph, noteworthy because of their infrequency this fall.
