I am relaying a message for Jim Anderson of Dundas who had a juvenile Northern Gannet this morning (Dec 17) at 11:15 am flying west over the High Level Bridge on York Blvd. in Hamilton. The bird flew low overhead from the west end of Hamilton Harbour out to Cootes Paradise/Dundas Marsh and was lost from view in the haze. This is likely the same bird seen earlier in the morning off Bronte. I doubt the bird remained in Cootes Paradise, and would probably have returned to Hamilton Harbour or back out to Lake Ontario, so may be seen again in the area.
