Birder's

John Ralston and myself found a male American Three-toed Woodpecker and a
female Black-backed Woodpecker in a large Tamarack Swamp on Point Deschene
Rd. at the corner of Point Deschene Cr. There was a large number of scaled
trees that are very apparent from the road. If you take Second Line west
from the Sault you turn left at Airport Rd. After the airport the road
curves and turns into Pt.Deschene Rd.Its not far past the big bend. Flock
after flock of Crossbills mostly White-winged flew over as we watched the
woodpeckers.
