On Sunday December 17, West Humber Naturalists held the 26th Kleinburg
Christmas Bird Count. Thirty-two people joined us on Sunday in spring-like
conditions, recording 60 species (1 less than the record for the count) and
13,148 individuals (about average for the count).
One highlight (and surprise) was the discovery of two Spring Peepers singing
in the Kleinburg area.

New species for count:
Redhead
Ruby-crowned Kinglet
High Totals:
Long-eared Owl (8)
Downy Woodpecker (86)
Red-tailed Hawk (110)
