Today about 1:30 p.m. I spished out an Orange Crowned Warbler along a trail running west parallel to the railway tracks off of Kerr Street in Oakville. This bird was found by Sheldon McGregor on the South Peel CBC. Thanks to Sheldon for this excellent life winter bird.
Directions: Take QEW to Dorval/Kerr Street exit. Kerr Street is the next major road east of Dorval and is not marked going eastbound on the QEW. It is accessed via the North Service Road or you can access Kerr Street off of Lakeshore. I parked at a small turnaround located just north of the railway tracks but this could be private property. Alternatively, you could use the LA Weightloss parking located just south of the tracks. The bird was located a short way (200 m) down the tracks west of Kerr street near an old shack.
