At 12 noon to day all 13 Cackling Geese wear found at Reesor Pond .

It should also be noted that this are from the Richardson's race which are bigger than the Cackling race it also gives them a lighter over all look , there was some confusion today as what to look for among birders .

Subject: [Ontbirds]Cackling Geese in Markham (Reesor Pond)

Eleven Cackling Geese were present this morning at 10:30 am at Reesor Pond. They were particularly easy to find this morning as there were very few other Canada Geese present (no more than a dozen or so). Also there were literally hundreds of Mallards, some Blacks and very little else.

Reesor Pond is on Reesor Road between Highway 7 and Highway 407, and this road is .5 km west of the hamlet of Locustville (which is several km east of highway 48, so if you get to Locustville on hwy 7, you went too far east).
