To supplement Mike Boyd's posting yesterday, there are also a couple of thousand geese spending time around the mouth of Big Creek where it enters Long Point Bay. Each afternoon, most of these geese leave this spot and fly north to the fields on the north end of Port Rowan. Watching them from the office window this afternoon, Denis Lepage and I spotted an immature Snow Goose, one Cackling Goose and a White-fronted Goose.
Kenny Burrell also reported an American Pipit along the causeway around noon. Ron Ridout Bird Studies Canada P.O. Box 160, Port Rowan. ON N0E 1M0 519-586-3531 Ext 204 [EMAIL PROTECTED] <mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]>
