Hi All,

After receiving confirmation that the Laughing Gull was still hanging in at
Cobourg harbour, I decided to head out there today. After looking around both
sides of the harbour for about 20 minutes, the bird flew in over our car and
landed in the parking lot on the west side of the harbour. The bird is in 1st
winter (starting to moult into 1st summer) plumage and was sitting by itself.
It flew off after 5 minutes and headed out along the western harbour shoreline
and landed out near the rocky pier on the west side. A nice breeding plumaged
Bonaparte's Gull was on the marina docks as well.

On the way home I stopped in at Thickson's Woods where we saw 15+ Fox Sparrows,
2 Eastern Towhees, 3 Brown Creepers, 3 Horned Grebes out on the lake (almost in
breeding plumage), 3 Hermit Thrushes amongst other migrants.

Cheers & good birding,
Frank Pinilla
