The pair of presumed Swainson's Thrush (some brown around the tail but
evenly grey back and much of head, and some light parts around the
chin / face, hence seemed unlikely the Gray-cheeked Thrush) were found
this morning ca. 8:30am south of the south end of River Road in one of
the clumps of trees with standing water at their base. Not seen again
when I was back there in the heat of the day. Apologies to those
interested that these thrushes are new to me, but they were longer
and distinctly greyer than the Hermit Thrush I saw a few days back, if
alike in the spotted chest.
Red-breasted Merganser male and female seen in Dow's Lake from the
Arboretum, where they were swimming with a number of Common Mergansers
southeast of that promontory that forms a small bay there.

Greetings,
While having tea in the back yard this morning I had an early male
Black-throated Green Warbler. Others included, Yellow-rumped Warbler, both
Kinglets, White-throated, Fox and Chipping Sparrows.
Cheers,
