Hi all,

This morning, in the same woodlot where the least bittern was located
yesterday, my colleague, Herman VanBarneveld, viewed a fox sparrow, 2 hermit
thrushes, and a palm warbler. Yesterday there was also a female
yellow-bellied sapsucker. The least bittern is no longer present.

Directions:
The woodlot is located here (http://tinyurl.com/2cxae6). It's behind the
large church (Bethel Gospel Tabernacle) on Upper Wellington just north of
Stone Church Road. We do have tentative permission to park from the
facilities manager, but *please* be respectful, and no large groups. He has
my email address and promised to write if there were any problems.

If you're coming from out of town, take the Upper Wentworth exit off of the
Linc. Head south. Turn right on Stone Church and then right on Upper
Wellington. Bethel Gospel Tabernacle is located on the right and the forest
is at the very back.

The thrush I reported yesterday from Fletcher Garden, Ottawa is very likely
a pale Hermit Thrush rather than the precousious Swainsons I reported. I
thank Paul Matthews for his input on this question.
