Hi All The male Eurasian Wigeon located by James Turland was present this morning at 10:00am in the second cell. This is a beutiful male in full plumage and was in company of 6 American Wigeon.

See photo link below. We sent Barry's photos to hawk expert Brian Wheeler, author of several handbooks on hawk identification. Brian said, "I do not think there is photo documentation of a verifiable dark morph Broad-winged Hawk from this far east prior to this." Brian further commented on its age and plumage. "In the right wing and probably on left wing too, secondary 8 looks to be narrow subterminally with a faded border of a retained juvenal feather and probably makes this bird a two year old."
