While driving home on Friday, June 1 I saw and photographed a Great White Heron
on Grey Road 4, 1.95 km. west of Highway 24 , just S.W. of Singhampton.Look
south along the split rail fence in the flooded meadow, where the roadworks have
narrowed the roadway.
I have seen it twice . The first time was 12 days ago.
It is not an egret! I took video as it flew over the road with a 12x zoom. It
is, perhaps an albino
Great Blue Heron?

I have been informed by several people that the bird I reported is a Great
White Egret
Not a heron after all. Sorry to have misled you all.
My first time seeing this bird and it is so much bigger than the cattle egret.

I relocated the Dickcissel last night between 7:30pm and 8:00pm. It was in
the field on the north east corner of Side Road 33 and the Bruce Saugeen
Townline. It came and sat in the tree about 100 ft in form the road, and
sang continually for baout 15 minutes.
This is the same location that one was seen last year.

Directions from Paisley
Drive west on the Bruce/Saugeen Townline (formerly Bruce Rd #11) and turn
north on Side Rd #33/34

Directions from Port Elgin or Kincardine
Drive north from Kincardine or south from Port Elgin on Hwy #21 to North
Bruce and then east on the Bruce/Saugeen Townline (formerly Bruce Rd #11)
and turn north on Side Rd #33/34

Yours in birding
