Further to my recent postings concerning the possibility of a sighting of an Eurasian Collared-Dove, which has now been identified as a Ringed Turtle-Dove, the subject bird appears to have taken up residence in my area. She was in my front yard again this morning at 8.45 a.m. and I was able to get two pictures of the rear underside, confirming the identification made yesterday by Bruce Wilson that this bird is in fact the Ringed Turtle-Dove.
To view the pictures, please visit http://www.scoutscan.net/dgr/birds.htm I will make no further postings on this subject, but I wish to express my thanks to all those people who sent their guidance, opinions and evidentiary photos, web page references etc. Thanks to all David Randle Innisfil, ON
