Greetings all,

The Marbled Godwit found by Fred Helleiner yesterday at Presqu'ile was still present this morning at 0800h. It was feeding on the natural (south) beach between viewing areas 2 and 3. Very few other shorebirds were present: Killdeer 4, Spotted S/p 4, Lesser Yellowlegs 1u, 1j, 1 ad Pectoral. There was also a female Long-tailed Duck in close to shore off from the causeway dividing High Bluff from Pines campground. At Owen Pt. there were a number of Yellow warblers which might be migrants, as well as a Northern Waterthrush.

Directions: Presqu'ile is best reached by taking the Brighton exit from Hwy. 401, then heading south into the town. From there follow the Provincial Park signs.

Cheers,

Doug McRae
