Observation start time: 07:00:00
Observation end time: 15:00:00
Total observation time: 8 hours

Official Counter: Claude Radley

Observers: Chuck Sharbaugh, Don Wheems, Jim McCoy, Mike Malone

Visitors:
We had company from Kingsville, Windsor and Michigan.

Weather:
Moderate West to Northwest winds all day. Clear in the morning with Day
time heating Cumulus developing and eventually becoming an overcast layer
of Stratocumulus based at 2000 feet.

Raptor Observations:
A great early movement of Broad-winged Hawks began shoartly after 9:00 a.m.
when the thermals started to develop. By 11:00 a.m. most of the kettles
seen were those birds that descended through the cloud in search of new
thermals. Interesting to see a few birds come out of the cloud base over
the tower to be closely followed by dozens or hundreds of others, appearing
like magic.

Non-raptor Observations:
Passerine movment was dominated by swallows and Goldfinches. 75 Monarch
butterflies were noted.

Predictions:
Mainly sunny, comfortable temperatures and Southerly winds.
