I was fortunate enough to see the Great Egrets Saturday afternoon at Bruce Pit. These beautiful birds were hanging out with a Great Blue Heron, a group of Canada Geese and a group of gulls. I did manage to get a few pictures of the Egrets which you can view on my flickr Bird set http://www.flickr.com/photos/kadacat/sets/72157600770922263/ .
On my tour yesterday, I was also lucky enough to run into a Great Blue Heron at Andrew Hayden Park hanging out on the grass. This made for an easy photo shoot. There are a few pictures on my flickr Bird set of this beautiful fellow too. Directions to Bruce Pit: Cedarview Road, just South of Hwy 417 at highway 416 Junction. - Marlene _______________________________________________ ONTBIRDS is presented by the Ontario Field Ornithologists - the provincial birding organization.
