Hey all. Just wanted to point out that perhaps our friend the Northern Wheatear never even made it off of Wolfe Island. When I was viewing on Saturday evening with my girlfriend Sarah we saw several American Kestrels, a Merlin and many Northern Harriers within binocular view or a quarter mile of the Wheatear. The Wheatear fed blatently out in the open just beconing to be lunged at by one of these fast small falcons. The weather Saturday night was no better than the last 2 nights and yet the bird had been there for 3 days because there was plenty of food.

I strongly suspect our feathered friend never made it through the night. Though there's always hope!

Cheers,

Andy.
