There was a flock of about two dozen American Pipits this morning at 10:00
am at the Richmond Lagoons south of Richmond ON which is SW of Ottawa. There
were also several Pectoral Sandpipers along with the commoner species of
sandpipers and plovers. At the same time and place yesterday there was a
single Stilt Sandpiper that I could not relocate today. These birds were in
and around the lower cell. There were also a few Northern Pintail amongst
the teal and mallards in the upper cell.

Richmond Lagoons - Directions

The Richmond Lagoons are open to the public. They are located south of
Richmond which is near Ottawa. Take Eagleson Road south from its junction
with Perth/Richmond Road and the lagoons are on the west side of the road
just before the railway.
