Observation start time: 09:30:00
Observation end time: 14:30:00
Total observation time: 5 hours

Official Counter: Calvin Brennan

Observers: Terry Angevine

Visitors:
Ron Harkness

Weather:
Rain and thunderstorms delayed the start of today’s count until mid
morning. The remainder of the day saw overcast skies and occasional
sprinkles. Winds were quite variable throughout the count period varying
from nil to moderate and from west to north-northwest.

Raptor Observations:
Very few birds were recorded overall during this gray damp day with
Harriers leading the way, a species that seems to migrate in all possible
weather conditions.

Non-raptor Observations:
Large numbers of Tree Swallows foraged over various portions of the channel
during the day today with the biggest groups numbering 1000-1500 birds. A
fair number of warblers were also present around the area including
Black-throated Blue, Black-throated Green, Redstart, Magnolia, Nashville,
Cape May and many Blackpolls.
