Official Counter: Rayfield Pye Observers: Greg Stuart, Jim McKnight, Jim Munroe, Lisa Locke, Doug Lockrey, Craig McLaughlin,David Wysotski, John Stirrat, Alf Lisk, Jim Skene and many others who helped for short periods of time Visitors:many Thanksgiving-weekend visitors Weather: haze lifted during hour 1; medium SW winds; falling BP;TUV=0;24C Raptor Observations: In spite of "poor" migrating conditions many raptors "out to the east" decided to come west!! The thrill of having 7 PEREGRINE FALCONS fly through fairly low caught everyone's attention. Most of the raptors were moving high and to the north. 2 immature Bald Eagles flew through at 1pm and 1:44pmEST Non-raptor Observations: rusty blackbird; eastern towhee; black-throated blue warbler; yellow-rumped warbler; swamp sparrow; 6 black-bellied plovers; 3 SNOW GEESE; 44 MONARCHS; red admiral; MOURNING CLOAK; several sulphurs A number of us will be at the OFO annual meeting in Pelee this weekend.
